Conformity Assessment

A formal evaluation process to determine whether an AI system meets the requirements of a regulation or standard. Under the EU AI Act, providers of high-risk AI systems must complete conformity assessments before placing their systems on the market. For most high-risk categories, this is a self-assessment against Annex IV requirements; certain biometric systems require third-party assessment by a notified body.
