Model Card

A structured document describing an AI model's intended use, training data, performance metrics, limitations, and ethical considerations. Originally proposed by Google researchers in 2019, model cards are now a practical necessity for model governance. The EU AI Act's documentation requirements for GPAI models closely resemble an expanded model card. If you can't describe your model's capabilities and limitations in writing, you probably don't understand them well enough.
